PICTURE THIS:

Michael Kessler, “Eastfork (1),” acrylic, 30″ x 48″

Art does not need to perfectly match your space, but sometimes, it’s all too exciting when it does. The colors and textures of this Michael Kessler piece, “Eastfork (1),” bring out the blue and cream colors of the room and the smooth, clean lines of this bright bedroom space. Plus a work as grand and large-scale as Michael Kessler’s is always well suited for above the bed.

PICTURE THIS:

Havoc Hendricks, “Elegant by Nature,” mixed media, 40″ x 27″ | Michael Kessler, “Blue Sage Grove (1),” acrylic, 40″ x 50″

In the gallery, it’s always exciting to see how two different artists’ work can harmonize so beautifully together. Although local artist Havoc Hendricks and New Mexico artist Michael Kessler have very different subject matters and styles, their work suits each other quite beautifully in this bright, modern bedroom. The soft tan and sage green hues complement both the earthy tones around the space and one another’s work.

Both artists are inspired by nature, and it shines through in their work. We love to see how the minimalist lines in Havoc Hendricks‘ mixed media alpine work are in conversation with Michael Kessler‘s aspen tree-inspired textures. You, too, can highlight the warmth and texture of your space while adding greater interest with an art pairing like this.

PICTURE THIS:

Bridgette Meinhold, “Winter’s Promise,” encaustic, 40″ x 60″

A view as spectacular as this one deserves a work of art that offers a window into a world just as majestic. Bridgette Meinhold’s mountain inspired encaustic work gives the room a panoramic feeling of wonder and beauty, while the layers within her work create a soft, hazy ambience – perfect for dreaming away in a modern luxury bedroom. For a work above a king size bed, we recommend a larger work like Meinhold’s beautiful diptych, “Winter’s Promise.”

PICTURE THIS:

Warren Neary, “Reflections,” oil, 24″ x 76″ | Sandra Pratt, “First Light,” oil, 12″ x 12 | Sandra Pratt, “View of Paris,” 12″ x 12″

For the space above a large headboard, we love to see a long, narrow piece like this panoramic scene of Utah from artist Warren Neary. This soft, tranquil scene feels restful for the evenings, while the alpenglow on the mountain tops gives a nod to the light of dawn, when it’s time to rise. This work is sure to add a peaceful, romantic touch to your bedroom, no matter what time of day.

We also love to see these two pieces by local artist Sandra Pratt. Complete with sleek gold frames, these Impressionist landscapes bring a touch of, natural charm and expressive beauty to your space. Pratt’s alla prima palette knife technique gives the work natural texture, playing on the natural wooden, wicker, and woven textures within the space.

PICTURE THIS:

Fred Calleri, “January Jubilee,” oil, 30″ x 48″

For a minimalist, understated bedroom like this one, let your personality shine through via your choice of art. Fred Calleri‘s piece, “January Jubilee” harmonizes tonally with the simplicity and peace of the space while adding an element of charm, color, and personality.
