Saturday, June 11th, 2022: Plein Air Paint Out, 3:00-6:00 PM at Park City Gardens

Join us for our 4th annual “Plein Air Paint Out,” where art and garden lovers gather! Mingle with artists and art & nature lovers, in the nursery at its summer best. Hear garden songs & guitar performed by Nicole Paradiso, watch a short “pop-up” ballet experience by BalletNEXT, and enjoy light bites and refreshing beverages.

Hosted in partnership with Gallery MAR, the artists will be judged and prizes will be awarded at 6 pm.

Send your name, email, and phone number to info@gallerymar.com to sign up. The
deadline for participating artists to sign up is June 1 st , 2022.

Thank you for joining us for this event. Please plan to arrive no later than 2:30 pm on
Saturday the 11th to set-up. There is limited parking at the nursery, so please carpool or
park nearby and walk in. You can also park in the St. Mary’s church lot just up the street.
You may set up your easel anywhere that does not impede the ability of nursery guests
to access and see the plants. We reserve the right to move you.

We will have light bites, drinks, and live music. Please share the event and bring your
green-thumbed friends.

Plan to begin painting at 3 pm. You may work on as many pieces as you wish. At 5:30
pm, bring your finished painting(s) to the nursery boutique. Sophy Kohler (PC Nursery)
and Maren Mullin (Gallery MAR) will judge the pieces and award $250 for first place, $150
for second, and one $100 honorable mention. Each winner will also receive a massage
from Massage Oasis, Park City. Your finished paintings will be displayed in the Nursery
Boutique until 6:30 pm that day.

Please sell your paintings! If you connect with a buyer, arrange to have them Venmo you,
pay cash, check, whatever is easiest for you. We want this event to be a success for you
and for you to connect with other artists and patrons.

–  Is there a charge to the artist to participate?

–  What is the commission? Garden? Gallery MAR?/Artist ?
All sales are direct to the artist – you set your price, no commission is due to the gallery
or the nursery.
–  Will the artist take the work home after the plein air event that night if it is not sold?
Yes, you will take them home if you don’t connect with a buyer.
