Gallery MAR has been a favorite of Park City’s art scenes since its opening over a decade ago. That is why it’s a pleasure for us to announce that Gallery MAR is open daily on Main Street from 11 AM to 5 PM. Owner, Maren Mullin, is diligent about following current Summit County Health and Social Distancing guidelines. She is putting the safety of the community at the forefront of the opening.
If you haven’t been to Gallery MAR, the first thing you will notice is the fresh and lively atmosphere. Mullin is fascinated by not only the artwork that graces her studio but also the stories behind the art – how they are made and what the artist is thinking during the process. Her passion for what she does is evident in every piece featured in the gallery. Her gallery’s mission is to inspire and educate while supporting nationally touted artists.
The artwork featured in Gallery MAR is continually changing, and the staff provides comprehensive service and knowledge. Mullin, and her team, can even photoshop renderings to make it easier to visualize the artwork in your home. Send them a photo, and they will work their magic. For example, this week, a piece by artist Sarah Winkler arrived at the studio. The piece is entitled “Sand Castles in the Sky” in acrylic. At 18′ 72′, it is the perfect painting to soar above a bed. Another new arrival at Gallery MAR is by Jylian Gustlin. Entitled “Fibonacci 389,” the piece is 60″ x 60″, a mixed media on panel. Gustlin explores the intersection between science and the arts. You can have a photoshop rendering created of either of these new pieces to ensure they work with your vision.
Please stop by the studio and say hello to Mullin and her team and mark your calendars for the first in-person Gallery Stroll of the season on May 29th.
